An interview with yours truly

Guys, guys, guys! Christian pastor and blogger Matt Appling has posted his interview with me over at his site, The Church of No People. If a blog name like that isn’t enough to get you to check it out, please also consider:

  • It’s mostly about my take on being an atheist in a predominantly Christian society;
  • There’s one question that happened to be about Christopher Hitchens, which is sadly but appropriately topical;
  • Someone is already calling me a “madwoman” and comparing me to Satan in the comments!

I’ll be answering questions, there and here, as long as readers feel like asking them. Religious readers, why not take this glimpse into an atheist mind? Atheist readers, please feel free to jump into the conversation, whether you agree with me or want to share an alternative view. I think my views are fairly representative of many atheists, but I certainly don’t claim to speak for everyone.

  1. Full disclosure: I’m a frequent reader of TCoNP and a Christian.

    I just wanted to say thanks for doing this interview with Matt and fielding questions in the comments. I’ve added you to my feed reader, so I’ll be lurking here and maybe dropping a comment or two every so often.

  2. I’m not sure if you saw my reply to you on my blog, but I just wanted to say thanks for the add on your subscriptions. =)

  3. Thanks to both of you for dropping by. πŸ™‚ I savor these moments when the internet bolsters my confidence in the kindness of strangers, rather than tearing it down. Hope to see you both around in the future.

  4. Still wondering…Did you see the clarification of my first question?

  5. Hi Jillian! I sure did, and responded to it a little while ago. Just had a few hours of meetings this afternoon, sorry about that. πŸ™‚

    Boy is James a doozy! Walls of bible quotes, but not really saying anything. I’m not sure how many responses I’ll post to his stuff. He’s mostly boring, but I woudn’t be responding for his benefit anyway, but for the other commenters and the lurkers.
